Let's start with this traditional Balinese dancers.  They are absolute cute! I love when Postcrossing friends share meaningful details about their lives, just like this little Ginger cat.  It makes me happy, because it is really sharing live time.  Aku cinta Kamu, Cecil.

Empecemos con estas bailarinas tradicionales de Bali.  Son absolutamente divinas!

This sketch is awesome.  I like every single detail: the lamps, the plant, the old wall.  Love it!  This is a card from the Simon Tan Art Gallery, and it explains that pre-war houses evokes nostalgia of their heritage. They love this crumbling walls because of the emotional content of their memories.   Thank you Chelsea, for sharing so kind feelings!

Este dibujo es bellísimo.  Me gusta cada pequeño detalle: las lámparas,  el macetero, la vieja pared... Me encanta!  Esta tarjeta es de la Galería de Arte Simon Tan y el reverso explica que las casas de la pre-guerra les evoca nostalgia por su cultura.  Estas paredes viejas y desgastadas los emociona porque los lleva a un tiempo que ya no volverá.  Gracias Chelsea, por compartir estos sentimientos.

This year I realized a bunch of details about Mondova, and now I love this country!  Look at this served table... I want everything:  the homemade bread, the tender cheese, the vegetables and specially, a shot of whatever is in this awesome pottery vase.  Thank you Elena for also sharing your actual favorite music, I am looking for it at Youtube. ♪ ♫

Este año empecé a conocer un poco acerca de Moldovia y ahora me encanta este país.  
Miren esta tarjeta con esa mesa servida... yo quiero todo:  el pan recién hecho, el quesito tierno, los vegetales y especialmente quiero probar lo que sea que haya en esa vasija de barro.

Oxford and its famous Universities... love it!  I really would like to be there when a procession like this goes by; it seems like time stops in the past.  Thank you Lita for sharing your town and I really love the Queen stamps.

I ♥ NY! Look at this view.  I just imagine walking around this amazing city:  attending the Metropolitan Opera House, Ballet at the Lincoln Center, the Philharmonic concerts, Central Park, Cheesecake, Pizza, Museums... I want to be there!

I ♥ NY!   Vean este paisaje.  Sólo puedo imaginarme caminando en esta increíble ciudad:  yendo a conciertos en el Metropolitan Opera House, el Ballet en el Lincoln Center, los conciertos de la Filarmónica, el Parque Central, cheesecake, pizza, los museos... ¡Quiero estar ahí!

Yesterday I got a wonderful card from this fascinating country:  Malaysia.  

The card is amazing:  same landscape view from the unbelievable Kuala Lumpur... day and night.  Love it ♥!  It has the flag in a corner, very helpful because I can´t recognize them at all!  

Finally, the stamps:  gorgeous Malaysian birds!

The long envelope had a long card (8 inches long),  a colorful flower card, an amazing paint made by Ivan Khrutsky from the National Art Museum of Belarus, and a  wonderful sepia landscape picture.

El sobre tenía una tarjeta igual de larga (del tamaño de un papel carta), una colorida tarjeta de un ramo de flores, una hermosa pintura de una mujer del pintor Ivan Khrutsky que pertenece al Museo Nacional de Arte de Belarus y una increíble tarjeta de un paisaje en color sepia.

The cherry on top are these amazing magnets... they make me happy when I am in the kitchen!

Suddenly I reminded this wonderful card that Nina sent me from Finland. I love street markets... I would like to walk around this one.

De pronto recordé esta hermosa tarjeta que Nina me mandó desde Finlandia.  Me encantan los mercados callejeros... Podría darme una vueltita por este...

And this is why I remembered to share this card... for the pretty magnet she sent to my kitchen.

That's all...

I can´t believe I forgot this amazing story!

I asked for a wonderful violin card to a kind lady from Ukraine.  It arrives almost inmediately.  I was so excited that I got a photo frame and I hold it in my office.  Today when I was writting this post, I looked at my wall and I remember... I haven´t say thank you to the kind lady!
Shame on me!  Really, really sorry.  It was the card fault because it is so amazing that I can´t remember the wall before it!

Sorry for the delayed thank you.  But please, believe me, I am really, really thankfull for the kindness and friendship of Postcrossing people.

¡No puedo creer que olvidé esta historia!

Solicité una increible tarjeta de un violín a una generosa dama de Ucrania.  La tarjeta llegó casi inmediatamente.  Yo estaba tan feliz con la tarjeta que conseguí un marco para foto y la colgué en mi oficina.  
Hoy, mientras escribía este post, miré a la pared y me dí cuenta que no le había agradecido a la amable señora que me la envió.

¡Qué vergüenza!  Estoy realmente apenada.  Pero la verdad, es culpa de la tarjeta, por ser tan hermosa que no siquiera puedo recordar la pared sin ella colgando ahí!

Mil disculpas por el agradecimiento tardío.  Pero, por favor creánme, estoy sumamente agradecida por la amabilidad y la amistad de la gente de Postcrossing.

I am going to tell you about my recent Post Office Journey.  

A wonderful Polish girl sent me a bunch of cards...  Everything is amazing!

Una maravillosa muchacha polaca me envió un grupo de tarjetas... Todo es bellísimo.

I love reading, and the Andersen stamp makes me happy!

She also sent me this lovely old books.  I make bookbiding and I love old books.  This friend asked me about Polish authors... I am ashamed to say I only know them for their Nobel prizes... Czesław Miłosz and Wisława Szymborska.  So, one of my December resolutions is to get some books of them!  Love the opportunity of sharing wonderful information all over the world.   Thank you Postcrossing for make that possible!

Amo leer, así que la estampilla de Andersen me hizo muy feliz!

Ella también me envió esta tarjeta de libros antiguos.  Me encanta la encuadernación y amo los libros viejos.  

Mi amiga me preguntó si he leído algún autor polaco... me avergüenza aceptar que sólo conozco de nombre a los ganadores de Premios Nobel:  Czesław Miłosz and Wisława Szymborska.  Así que una de mis resoluciones de fin de año es conseguir algunos libros de ellos.  Me encanta esta oportunidad de compartir valiosa información mundial.  Gracias Postcrossing por hacerlo posible!

This amazing Postcrossing girl also mention Pope John Paul II.  I am Catholic (not a fanatic one!) ad I love churches. Cathedrals are amazing all over the world.  She share those beautiful pictures.

I am back!

Sorry for being lost, but I was having a great time in Mexico.  Maybe you don´t know, but traveling around Latin America is not easy.  Ticket plane are heavy expensive, and we are as foreigners as anyone else.

Anyway, I was in Mexico city and I attended a wonderful folk dance and music show at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.  


Estoy de regreso!

Perdón por perderme, pero estaba pasando unos maravillosos días en México.  Tal vez ustedes no lo saben, pero viajar en América Latina no es fácil.  Los tiquetes de avión son carísimos y somos extranjeros en los demás países, tanto como cualquier europeo o asiático. 

En todo caso, les cuento que estuve en México D.F. y asistí a un maravilloso espectáculo de danza y música en el Palacio de Bellas Artes.

I went for my second time (the first one was 6 years ago) to walk around the amazing pyramids at Teotihuacan.  The sun was bright and I had to buy a hat to protect my face...

Fui por segunda vez (la primera fue hace seis años)  a caminar entre las majestuosas pirámides de Teotihuacán.  El sol estaba muy pesado y tuve que comprar un sombrero en el lugar para proteger mi cara...

I went to the Anthropology Museum... I was speechless in front of the Sun calendar and the Monctezuma's quetzal feather plume...

Fui al Museo de Antropología y quedé sin palabras ante el calendario del sol y el penacho de plumas de quetzal de Monctezuma...

I was in Frida Kahlo's house museum in Coyoacán... how amazing place.  You can feel the sorrow and the passion to live from her.

Estuve también en la casa museo de Frida Kahlo.  ¡Qué lugar tan increíble!  Uno puede sentir el dolor y la pasión por vivir que tenía ella.

After some wonderful days at the City, I went to the gorgeous town of PUEBLA... I had always wanted to be there!  It was a dream came true...

Después de unos maravillosos días en el D.F., me fui para la sinigual ciudad de Puebla.  Siempre había querido conocerla... fue un sueño hecho realidad...

Last Saturday I got three wonderful cards.

El sábado pasado recibí tres maravillosas tarjetas.


The first one came from Latvia.  I made a little researched about this wonderful country:  The Republic of Latvia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by Estonia, to the south by Lithuania, to the east by Russia, and to the southeast by Belarus and by a maritime border to the west with Sweden. 

La primera viene de Lituania.  Tuve que hacer una pequeña investigación acerca de este maravilloso país:   La República de Letonia, es un país soberano miembro de la Unión Europea, con capital en Riga, que se extiende sobre una superficie total de 64 589 km² y cuenta con una población total de 2 070 371 habitantes⁴ . Esta república, que se encuentra situada en el norte de Europa, es uno de los Países Bálticos y limita al norte con Estonia (343 km), al sur con Lituania (588 km), al este con Rusia (276 km) y Bielorrusia (141 km) y al oeste con el mar Báltico. Es un país de llanuras bajas pobladas de extensos bosques.⁵

So, my Postcrossing friend Marina from Latvia, sent me this nice postcard about The Blackheads House.  This is an amazing old building in the old town of Riga.  I am so happy by receiving meaningful cards like this one.  Thank you Marina, and I love the stamps, too.

The second one is from Nolleke, The Netherlands.  All about this country is pretty amazing to me.  I really like this traditional costume and the girl is lovely.  And the stamp is my new favorite one for now.  

La segunda postal es de Nolleke de Holanda.  Todo lo referente a este país me encanta.  Este traje tradicional y la preciosa niña que lo lleva, son bellísimos.  Y la estampilla, es por ahora, mi nueva favorita.

Finally, I got a nice envelope from China.  It was closed, but someone made a big hole in the back.  I received two gorgeous cards without name. Maybe the censors took away something else with the sender name.   Too bad no having freedom!  Anyway, I hope the kind person who took his or her time to send me the cards, send an e-mail asking for them; so, I could say thank you...

Por último, recibí un hermoso sobre desde China.  Estaba cerrado, pero tenía un gran agujero, hecho cuidadosamente,  en el reverso.  Traía dos hermosas tarjetas pero ninguna estaba firmada.  Tal vez la censura sacó algo más que traía el nombre del remitente.  ¡Qué malo eso de no tener libertad!  En todo caso, espero que la amable persona que tomó su tiempo para enviarme las postales, me envíe también un e-mail preguntando por ellas, así tendré la oportunidad de agradecerle...
