¡Me encanta el pan y esta tarjeta se ve sabrosa y comíquisima con ese muñequito!

This is the first submit of my direct swap card collection.  
It is a shame that they do not have the date written in it. 
They are from China and I like the different pictures on them.

I think that the most amazing part of Postcrossing, is when the sender at the other part of the planet, decides to send you this card and no other one, right?  I always think on that.  Someone choose this card and takes his or her time to write down my name and address... Thank you, friends!

Este es la primera publicación de mis tarjetas de intercambio directo.
Lamentablemente no tienen la fecha de envío.
Viene de China y me gusta la variedad de temas que tienen.

Yo creo que la parte más emocionante de Postcrossing, es cuando el que envía la tarjeta desde el otro lado del mundo, elige enviarte una y no otra, verdad?  Alguien eligió esta tarjeta y se tomó el tiempo de escribir mi nombre y mi dirección...  Gracias, amigos!

Recipe

Some friends ask for recipes made of regional ingredients.  Banana is born everywhere in this country.  So, here it is the banana bread recipe.  My family and I love it and is always a good choice to share with a cup of coffee... hummmmm
I just made it.

INGREDIENTS

6 big ripe bananas, smashed

1/4 cup melted butter

1 cup sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

4  cups of all-purpose flour

1 cup of milk

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 350°F . With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

Receta

Algunos amigos buscan recetas hechas con ingredientes de cada región.  Los bananos crecen por todo lado en este país.  Así que, aquí está la receta de Pan de Banano.  Mi familia y yo lo adoramos y siempre es una buena opción para acompañar el cafecito... hummmmmm.  Este lo acabo de hacer.  Enjoy it!

INGREDIENTES

6 bananos maduros

1 barra de margarina

1 taza de azúcar

4 huevos

1 cdta. vainilla

1 cdta. bicarbonato de sodio

1 pizca de sal

4 tazas de harina

1 taza de leche

PREPARACIÓN

Precaliente el horno a 350°F.  Con una cuchara de madera, mezcle la mantequilla con los bananos hechos puré en un recipiente grande.  Agregue el azúcar, los huevos y la vainilla.  Agregue el bicarbonato de sodio y la sal y revuelva.  Finalmente agregue la harina.  Hornee durante 1 hora.  Saque del molde y enfríe en una parrilla.  Haga tajaditas para servir.  ¡Disfruten!

How amazing country!  We share amazing places like the rain forest, stunning beaches, or colorful wild animals.  But Brazil is huge.  The Pope was there and Soccer is there, always...  Its music, its food, its people...

Anyway, today I got this gorgeous card from my friend Geisel.  It is completely different from our lonely and tiny beaches.

And the stamp:  I can´t imagine share this two tasty food: Brazilian and Mexican... yummy!

I love to get cards, and especially to share with wonderful people all over the world.

Brasil te me está llamando...

¡Qué increíble país!  Compartimos ambientes como el Bosque tropical, las hermosas playas y los animales salvajes multicolores, pero Brasil es enorme.  El Papa estuvo ahí y el fútbol siempre está presente.  Su música, su comida, su gente...

Bien pues, hoy recibí está maravillosa tarjeta de mi amiga Geisel.  Es increíble el contraste con nuestras solitarias y pequeñas playas.

Y la estampilla:  no me puedo imaginar la delicia de unir la comida brasileña con la mexicana... ¡delicioso!

Me encantan las tarjetas postales, pero especialmente compartir con gente tan hermosa de todo el mundo.

Happy birthday to meeeeeee  ♪♫♪♫...

Today is my birthday... you know, sometimes we feel kind of depressed because time flies and we feel that we are still young, but society tell you:  "you are a grown up, not more younger things for you!"  The problem is that nowadays you can live almost 100 years, so I am not even at the middle!
Anyway, I am really blessed for my little family, my wonderful teenager kids, my students, my amazing friends who wait until last midnight to say:  happy birthday!  All the blessings from everyone and especially you:  Postcrossing friends!  First, the web site send me a message, OK, it could be a data base... but, my pen pals are sending b-day wishes too, so kind! Thank you very much! ♥


Feliz cumpleaños a míííííííí♪♫♪♫...

Hoy es mi cumpleaños... ustedes saben, a veces nos deprimimos un poco porque el tiempo pasa y aunque todavía nos sentimos jóvenes, la sociedad nos dice:  "estás haciéndote mayor, así que deja las cosas de jóvenes que ya no son para vos".  El problema es que ahora la gente vive hasta 100 años, así que ni siquiera voy por la mitad!
En todo caso, he sido muy bendecida con mi pequeña familia, con mis hijos adolescentes, con mis estudiantes, con mis maravillosos amigos, hasta se esperaron anoche que fueran las doce para desearme Feliz cumpleaños!  Tantas bendiciones de muchas personas y especialmente de ustedes, amigos de Postcrossing.  Primero me encontré el mensaje del sitio web; bueno, puede ser que sea una base de datos, pero mis amigos por correspondencia me están enviando saludos de cumpleaños y eso es pura amabilidad!  De verdad, muchas gracias!  ♥

I just got this amazing postcard from my friend Katya of RUSSIA. Snow is pretty amazing to me, because I live in the middle of the planet and we only have 2 seasons:  Dry and Rainy.  And in both seasons we have sunny days and a lot of humidity.  I love my tropical weather, but snow is magical!

By the way, look at the stamps.  I can´t stop staring at them. They are gorgeous!


Nevados saludos:

Acabo de recibir esta hermosísima tarjeta de mi amiga Katya de Rusia.  Me encanta la nieve porque yo vivo en el centro del planeta y sólo tenemos dos estaciones:  seca y lluviosa.  Ah, y en ambas tenemos días soleados y mucha humedad.  Yo amo el clima tropical pero la nieve, es mágica!

Por cierto, observen las estampillas.  Yo no puedo dejar de apreciar cada detalle.  Son bellas!

Hello Postcrossing friends:

This is the best way to share the cards from direct swaps.  
I will take a photo of every card and gift I've received from the past year.  It has been an incredible journey around the world. I've realized that there is really kind people who offer their friendship and bits of their everyday life in every card.

I received the mail at the post office (I'll take a picture of this place, ASAP) so, before Postcrossing I just got it bills, advertising and some useless magazines.  

Now, I am friend of the post office workers because they love the cards I got it.  Who doesn't?

So, let me take my time to submit the first cards I received, I hope they have the date on them, because sometimes I mess them up, when I am checking them one more time looking for small details on the pictures or in the stamps!

Hola amigos de Postcrossing:

Esta será la mejor forma de compartir las tarjetas que he recibido de intercambios directos.
Voy a tomar fotos de cada una de las tarjetas y de los obsequios que he recibido desde hace más de un año.  Ha sido sin lugar a dudas, un viaje increíble alrededor del mundo que me ha permitido descubrir que hay gente amable que ofrece su amistad y comparte pedacitos de su vida cotidiana cada vez que envía una postal.

Yo recibo mi correo en la Oficina Postal (prometo tomar una foto de los casilleros, pronto) y antes de ser parte de Postcrossing, recoger el correo era una tarea rutinaria de la que obtenía recibos por servicios, propaganda comercial y algunas revistas sin valor.

Ahora soy amiga de las empleadas de la Oficina Postal porque ellas adoran las tarjetas que recibo constantemente.

Así que, voy a tomarme el tiempo necesario para fotografiar cada tarjeta.  Ojalá tengan la fecha de envío porque aunque las conservo en orden, es común que se desordenen cuando las reviso una vez más, sólo por el placer de sentirlas y reconocer cada detalle en las fotos o en las estampillas.
